Unknown:

You know, what I just all I want to know is, can we talk about it? Because, listen, I'm gonna be real parents, okay? Because I got a lot of I have parents, I have students, I have friends, I have colleagues, I have old professors that follow me, and they keep up with what it is that's going on in my life. And I'm so grateful for you guys, um, because y'all, some, most of y'all, let me say this, are really in my corner to where you trying to, you know what I'm saying, push me to do more. Push me to do better. Push me do great things in life. And I love it. Um, I would just like to tell a few of y'all something, though, and y'all just glad to get over me like I pray to God that my mom don't hear this or see this, because at the end of the day, I don't need y'all trying to judge her parenting skills off of what it is that I'm about to say. But it is my podcast. My podcast is my passion project, um, and so honestly and truthfully speaking, um, I really don't care what y'all got to say about what I say or do on my podcast, because this is just my passion project, and y'all gotta get over there, and I understand why you mad. I really do. But I want to be honest with you, if I didn't have so many of my babies that I teach follow and their parents following me, Oh God, I would truly tell y'all on my public story how I really feel about y'all I really would, but in efforts to keep it cute and to motivate my kids to turn the other cheek despite what anybody has to say about you, you just gotta walk in the room knowing that God sent you there no like sometimes people just be hating and I get it, like I totally understand, because I've had to live that life. But it's also like God ruins the story for us, because if you ever pick up his word, he tells you that baby, it's not even that they hate you. They hate the God that's in you. So when you look in that mirror, know that you beautiful bruh and you genuine, you got a good heart. You try and do right by people. And on top of that, you educated. I mean, I could stop there, but just because I really like to make the enemy mad, I really don't, I hate to hurt your feelings, but I love to burst the enemy's bubble. You spirit led, right? And that's the part they mad at. That's the part they can't seem to find the answer to, because God, really out here doing his big one? No, he really doing his big one, standing 10 toes down behind you, and that's the part they mad at, because they can't figure out the how, huh? And they can't figure out the why. But it's okay, because, truth be told, you sitting there confused too. You don't know why God's still blessing you, literally, when you are in the middle of the mess that you in, doing this, half of the stuff that you're doing, you don't know, but I get it. I understand. He told us, in His Word, that we all fall short. He said, We all fall short of His glory. Dog. He never said you was going to make it into the gateways on your own doing. No, it's his grace that's sufficient. It's His mercy that's sufficient. Let's talk about it. No, let's talk about it. We can talk about it. Click that link in my bio, baby, you ain't gonna lose nothing. I promise you, you're not gonna lose anything. Now, parents on my podcast, because it requires a little bit of your own work to go in my bio and click the link. I'm just gonna have to be honest with you. I might say a couple of cuss words on that, and it might slip, okay, but I'm gonna have to burst the enemies bubble. But and really hurt your feelings your child, sometimes I allow them, depending on their age and the context and what they're saying, if a cuss word slips in my tutoring sessions or my mentoring sessions, baby, I promise you I'm not about to crucify your child for that. Imma correct them. If it's something you know what I'm saying. If it's like, y'all understand, but let's just be for real. If your child just said Damn, or the S word or the D word, Hoover Dam is actually a place I'm not about to send them to the pits of hell for that, I'ma correct them. But there's always that much I can do. Your child is hearing music with cuss words in it. They're hearing songs with cuss words in it. Pastors and pulpits slipping up saying the wrong word. But if you can't look past the mess and focus on the message, baby, my podcast not for you, because you gonna be sitting there focusing now, why is she over here talking about this messy stuff when she says she's spirit led. I am spirit led. But can I tell you something? Sometimes you gotta talk about the mess to understand the message. No, if I would have never started talking about Cristiano my podcast, y'all would have been sitting there doing exactly what you're doing when the Lord doing his big one in her life, this girl got a whole podcast show or whatever. I don't I don't know if it's a podcast. I don't know if it's a show, but I know it's like a Bible study thing that she's doing with Jamal Bryant out here on Zoo's network with her own show. But y'all go sit up there and talk about that girl yesterday, because guess what? She had to be publicly humiliated, publicly crucified in front of half of y'all behind her baby daddy. And let's be real. Let's be real. The only difference between you and and Chris Shawn is the fact that you ain't got no camera where everybody want to tune into your life. It's okay. I understand why you mad, baby. I get it. I get it, but you can't stop what the Lord gonna do. Because he said, touch not my anointing one and do my prophet no harm. And that's the part y'all mad at. That is the part. That's the part. Y'all just gotta get over that. Though, I'm sorry. Y'all gotta get over that. Take it up with my daddy in heaven, because I'm be real with you. My physical father is in heaven. If you want to take it up there and be you know I'm saying, ask him when you get up there. That's so cool. That's cool. That's what you want to do. That's how you want to spend on 24 hours. You know what I'm saying. But imma get it popping with the living I'm about to start talking and letting y'all know the real because guess what, half of y'all hating, but Imma be real with y'all. I focus on the hat that's not hating. I focus on the hat that's holding on to. Habakkuk two and two, where He literally says, I gotta start verses one. Habakkuk chapter two, verses one through four he said, I will stand upon my watch and set me No, The just shall live by his faith. This is the part. This is the part. Now, listen, I gave y'all a little mess in the beginning because I'm not fazed by the mess, but we gotta sometimes address the mess, because I'm gonna be real with y'all. If I preach, if I well, I say preach, because y'all be trying to say I'm preaching, but I'm really just, I'm really talking to talk. I'm gonna be honest with you. I'm walking to walk too, but I'm really talking to talk because a lot of people need to hear what the Word of God is saying and y'all not understanding it. So Imma break it down for you, because that's what I love to do. I love to talk. You know that, and if you don't know that, Hi, my name is Donna Shalom. I'm a preacher's kid from the south. I love talking about the Lord. I'm not perfect. I fall short every single day. But I love to empower the youth. I love to empower people to understand what it is that God called them to do and to live a life and embrace a life that God has already given to us. No man, we don't know when that time are going to click. We don't know what he about to say, baby, I want you to come back with me. Nobody knows the time, nor the hour when the Lord going to come back. So at the end of the day, you gotta embrace this life. Take the good with the bad, take the ugly with the sad. Take the ups with the downs, bro, and keep pushing, knowing that when he said it held back to two and two to write the vision. Y'all not ready to talk. No, every year, y'all heard me say it on the episode a while ago. Literally, it had me, like my second episode. And for some people, they don't know that I've had this podcast thing going for years. Like, literally, when I was in the Caribbean, I developed this, and I just wasn't consistent. Wasn't consistent. I wasn't serious about it. And that's the part of my disobedience where I had to be like, You know what? Lord forgive me, because, listen, I'm not trying to be like Moses. Y'all do understand that Moses, the goal for Jesus was, I mean, the goal that the Lord had for Moses was to inhabit the promised land, but because he was disobedient, all he could do was lead the people to where he saw the promised land. But because he was disobedient, that's the part. And I'm not preaching or telling you things or talking about things that literally I've not gone through. No. There have been moments where I was disobedient, whether it was to my physical parents, whether it was to my heavenly Father. There have been moments to where I had to sit down and say, shalom. You not being obedient. No, he put a calling on your life, and you run it from it. No, I can. I free you. This is when the Lord had to deal with me real serious and imma go ahead and talk about it, because we can talk about it on my podcast. Okay, this is what we do here. We talk about the uncomfortable things. No comment. Talk That Talk. So I can send you my terminology sheet, because it's a lot of different terms that I use on my podcast that you may not be familiar with. And it's okay, because I'ma tell you, and I'm gonna teach you, because I just want you to know we're only as strong as our weakest link. No. So if you don't know the word bruh, I'm gonna be real with you. If nobody ever told you about the word, God going to send somebody to tell you about the word, but it's somewhere in his good book to tell you, once they tell you, baby, once you know of it, you can't count it as being innocent and ignorant no more, cuz you knew and you ain't make the right choice. Habakkuk, chapter two says, I will stand upon my watch and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me and what I shall answer when I am reproved. Y'all not ready to talk, Y'all not ready to talk, Y'all not ready to talk. Y'all not ready to talk. Verse two, And the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision and make it plain upon tables that he may run that readeth, mm, verse three for the vision. This is my favorite part. Oh, help me, Holy Ghost, because we stop. And this is the reason why I'm so glad that even though I had an episode called Habakkuk. Two and two is deeper than Rebecca, two and two. No, you can't stop at two. No, oh. Keisha had to tell me this morning. She said, Baby, read the next verse. And I'm so glad, because literally, my pastor shout out to Pastor Mike McClure Junior. I have two pastors, but what I'm about to tell you came from Pastor Mike McClure Junior. He said that basically, if you don't read the Scripture that comes before or the scripture that comes after a particular scripture that you're trying to focus and study, you can rob yourself out of the truth, because something happened before. And, you know, a little old me, that's a little, you know, I've always been that nosy child, so I really need to get the whole story. So ever since he said that, it's like, you know what? You can't just go straight to one verse all the time. Sometimes you literally have to read what happens before, and you have to read what happens after a young age. I can promise you one thing, had my parents not trained me while I was young, so when I was old and had to go through some of the things, and I'm not even old yet. I'm just I'm getting up there, you know what I'm saying, but I'm not old yet. But he said, train them when they're young, because some of the stuff that I gotta send to develop them, baby, they gonna need to hold on with what you told parents. This is why I understand your kids may not want to go to church, your kids may not want to go to Bible study, your kids may not want to wake up for early morning prayer. But can I tell you something? He not going to ask you what your kids wanted to do, baby. He going to ask you, why didn't you train him when they were young? So when they were old, they had something to grasp onto. But you gotta know that God is God enough, because I don't want my parents to sit there like, dang, I should've did a better job at raising you. No, that's not how you need to listen and hear what it is that I'm telling to you. What I'm telling to you is, is that even though you may not have instilled the Word of God, and then when they were young, baby, the problem is, I mean, the the promise still remains. Know what he said, that one man soweth the seed, another man waters it, but it's God who ultimately gives him the increase, baby. What he means is that even though you didn't train him while you were young, no, you was a baby, raising a baby yourself, and I get it, baby, I'm not mad at you, but now that you know, all you supposed to do is just hold on and trust him. They say, one man soweth the seed, but it's another one that comes, who waters it. But it's God who gives the increase. It's okay, maybe your child who follows me or I tutor them. Guess what? They hearing some of the stuff that I'm talking about. This is the reason why Imma be real with you. I'm not a perfect person. No, I just sat up here, and before I even started talking about what I really wanted to talk about, I had to get a little bit off my chest, because I got a random car this morning about some rumors about me, and I'm just like, I'm not flashing, but I'm flashing in my own way. And I had somebody tell me this morning, somebody whose voice is very close to my heart, they say, Guess what? My day wasn't phased by hearing aid. Why is yours? I said it's not phased. But it's also like, I need you to understand, I don't even understand why I'm God doing what he doing for me. No, all I'm sitting here counting is, oh Lord, I messed up right there. Oh Lord, you told me do that and also do this. This is the reason why I'm telling you you gotta ask God for forgiveness. No, no, no, ask him for forgiveness, right? Cuz I promise you he still want to do his big one in your life. He said, I'm a god that reigns on the just as well as the unjust. Even if they call you unjust baby by their definition, by whatever standard they're measuring you too. They gotta be measured to that same standard. You do know that's in a word right. Now, whatever standard you measure other people to, you can expect the Lord to examine and hold you to that same standard. Now let's talk. But what I love about the Lord is that he literally said, I'm a god that reigns on the just as well as the unjust. This is the reason why, when you get on your knees and you pray at night or in the morning, you say, Lord, forgive me for my trespasses, for the things that I've done knowingly and unknowingly. Because baby, I promise you, you can take that word and flip it to apply and help you support anything in your life that you think you want to support. I promise you, it's in the book. This is the blueprint. Man, no, that's the blueprint. I promise you anything in this word, he got an answer for everything that you go through life in this word, everything, everything. God never told you he didn't want you to drink. He actually said in Ecclesiastes, drink your wine. Be happy with the wife that you found in you love no embrace this life dog. That's what he telling you, but what he also says is, fast and pray. You want to know why I feel like the Lord tells us to fast and pray sometimes, not sometimes, but he tells us to fast. It's because when you take something away that you love brother, you sacrificing it for him. Up. I don't care if it's alcohol. I don't care if it's I don't care what I don't care what it is. It could be Tylenol, baby, maybe Tylenol just help you go to sleep at night. I don't know. I'm not saying it's true. I'm just saying everybody got advice for everything. No, maybe it's maybe it's playing Fortnite every night. You know what I'm saying? Maybe it's literally going outside and running for track, what is it? I don't know. I don't know. I don't know, but whatever it is, when you fast and you pray, you make a sacrifice, you showing God that Lord Listen, even though you told me I can drink wine, I need to abstain from this, because I need to hear and focus on what it is that you're telling me. Now, let's talk. Let's talk. But you can, you can expect, then, when you fasting and praying, oh, the enemy trying to come to steal, kill and destroy, though, no, this is why you gotta hold down. Write it down, baby. But let me finish, because I promise y'all, I gotta work out. I gotta go. Verse three says, For the vision is yet for an appointed time I'm about to take off. I don't even know. I can't say I'm about to run, because my pastor say he about to run. And Imma be real with you. I had, like, I had a double knee surgery, like, literally, I tore my ACL and my meniscus. They couldn't even find, literally, my ACL. They had to take a grasp from my quad, um, and that was something I had to go through. So I'm not about to sit here and tell you I'm about to run. No, I'ma stand flat footed in these golden goats that I really, really love. They're so pretty, just like their owner. Um, you see what I'm saying? That's the part y'all gotta look past that's a little messy. It's okay, get over it. Um, the message is, he said, at the appointed time, I the LORD, I'm gonna make it happen. So in Habakkuk three, he says, For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end, it shall speak. He didn't say it's gonna Oh, he said, at the end it shall speak and not lie, though it's Harry, and this is why I love to pay attention to punctuation in the Bible, because after, after, it said and not lie. It had a semicolon, no, it had a colon, meaning that I'm done with this part. But I got something else that I really want you to connect to this part, though it Terry, wait for it. Some of y'all don't know what Terry mean, huh? Because I promise you, if you would have known what Terry means, I promise you, you would have started screaming too. You would have started to scream too. Terry means to delay or be tardy in acting or doing to linger in expectation, semicolon, wait another definition to abide or stay in or at a place. So let's just change this. It literally says, For the vision is yet for an appointed time. Comma, not done with that statement. But you know, anytime you have a but and something, if my mama taught me this literally, she says, anytime you use but everything you say before but becomes null and void. So Imma address that point. But this is where I want you to tap in and look at but at the end, it shall speak and not lie. Colon, though it's Harry, though it's delayed, though you gotta wait on it. Wait for it. That's what I'm saying his word. Though it's Harry, wait for it. STEMI colon, because it will surely come. It will not tarry. I'm done talking by the morning. I don't know, but I'm so glad I'm not done. Cuz catch me in verse four, he says, Behold his soul, which is listed up, is not upright in him calling, but the just shall live by his faith, meaning shalom, what's faith? And I promise you, I'm done. I'm literally closing my Bible, my daddy Bible, actually, my daddy first Bible. That's the part y'all mad at. No, literally, my dad passed away. You know what I asked him for? And I'm gonna tell y'all my business, because I'm okay with it. They were like, oh, like, I bet he passed this down. I bet he passed that down. And it's like, you know what? That's not even the point. The point of matter is the only thing that I asked for from my father was his first original Bible. And can I tell y'all something? I got my daddy's first original Bible, and that's what I was reading out of because it was the closest one to me. But my Bible is actually in the card. But his Bible, you know what I'm saying? I had it right next to me. I'm like, You know what? Let me just go ahead and pull on it. Let me put on it. If you out here treating him, imma use Chris. Shawn. For example, the Bible says, touch down. My anointing will do my profit, no harm. That's what he said. If y'all know me, y'all know how I feel about Christine. I never met shorty a day in my life, and I'm not being disrespectful when I say shorty. Um, I'm just from down south, so it's like. Like no excuse, but it's the real. It might not be right, but it's real. Y'all know, that's how I feel. I told y'all, put me on the song. Somebody put me on the song, man, I look on my internet. I look on the Instagram this morning, and Chris Shawn on the song already. I said, Hold on. I need to be with Chris Shawn on somebody's song. No, for real. Let's talk about it really. Let's talk about this. All I want to do is talk really. You ain't gotta agree with me, but baby, if we can have a conversation that's rooted in love that mean we can agree to disagree. No, let's talk about some of this stuff. Please, please, please. No, let's talk about it. He said at the appointed term. And then I love in Habakkuk two and two. It literally said, Oh, Rebecca, chapter two. It literally says, Those who write the vision, so those that read it may run, hold on. Let me go back to it, because I don't even want to, and I promise I'm done after I go back to it, literally, I can't make this up. I can't make it up. I can't make it up. I can't make it up. Lord, You are so good. He is so good, I promise y'all, the Lord is so good. Y'all out here thinking that he not doing his big one because you won't get in alignment and you won't focus on your assignment. Let's talk about it. That's why you think the Lord not out here doing this big one. But I promise you, baby, getting that word, you going to start to see that he actually doing everything that you asking him to do, literally Habakkuk. He literally says, Write the vision and make it plain upon tables that he may run that read its meaning. I don't know if this the only interpretation from it, but can I ask y'all a question? What is he telling you to write it down so that when you read it, you actually can run. You gotta go. You gotta you got something you can focus on. You got vision in mind. You know what I'm saying. You're not just out here, just even though the Lord already ordered your steps. You need to sometimes make it a reality by writing it down to see it. No, once you see it, bro, you know what you're going after. No. On my vision board. My mom always buys us vision boards every year. And this was, I'm be real true. This is my year. I actually took it super serious, super serious, super serious, super serious. Can I tell you something the stuff that people saying that they think they stand in a negative turn, if y'all ever just take a step and look at the vision that I've written for my life. Y'all really calling some of this stuff into existence for me, and I love it for me, no, because y'all don't even understand what y'all doing, and that's the crazy part, but it's okay. It's okay because the Lord is literally, he set up like that. That's the part I need y'all to get over in 2024 though, okay, get over it, because you don't know what they doing. Come here, Mary, Mary, Mary. Mary said, Listen, what they don't know is, when they go home and get behind closed doors, may he hit the floor or messy hit the floor. And what you can't see is they own, they need what, and the next time they it's the God in me. That's what you're seeing. The reason why you mad is because you able to see the God that's in me. You don't think the enemy able to see the God that's in me. The crazy part about it is you just got a little hater right in here. But can I free you? The enemy can hate way better than you, baby, I promise you, he's the best one for the job. You stop sipping the hater aid. You stop being upset with me because my curls bounce just a little bit more than yours, and they slightly a bit more moisturized than yours. All you gotta do is jump in my DMs, on my comments and be like, bro, what you using on your curls? You know what imma do? Imma laugh at the message, just because I like to laugh. And I'm gonna say, bruh, grease and water. You wanna know why? Because I spent so much money on all these different hair products. I do still use other hair products. Okay, I'm about to sit here and tell you I don't use no other hair products, but when it comes to making sure that my hair looks the way I want it to look, moisturized, curly, strong, you know what I'm saying, grease and water. That's all Imma tell you. But because you sipping that hate array, and you know what the enemy confuse you, I promise you, baby, you confused. Grease and water. That's the gold standard. That's all My grandmama used to use when y'all was hating back then, that's what she was using. But because she lead her life with love, and she follows the Creator, baby, she got growing hands. You gotta understand it. Everybody don't have grown hands. You want to know why I know that? Imma talk about that next week. I didn't talk too long for y'all father, God, in the name of Jesus, I just thank you for the person that's on the other side of this phone. God, thank You that they had a moment to just talk about you Lord, talk about some funny stuff, talk about some real stuff. But God, just focus on what it is that they need to do in their life. God, ask that you just help us to focus on what is that you called us to do. But ultimately, God, be obedient to doing what it is that you called us to do. God, if you called us to be in the hospital room, God, I ask that you help us be there. God, if you called us to be in a on a in a pulpit, God, I ask that you help us to be there. God, if you called us to be in the courtroom, God, I ask that you give us the strength to go before and to lead on your behalf. God, knowing that we don't walk into any room with any door. God, without the Spirit, without you going before us. God, we thank You that You said in songs that you've already given us your rod and your staff to comfort us. God, we just thank You that You've already ordered our steps in your word you said, the steps to a good manner ordered by the Lord. So God, we just thank You that You've already ordained us. God, you already ordered our steps for us to actually go and set forth to do what it is you called us to do, God for the child or for the person that's wrestling. God with their sleep. God wrestling with their peace of mind. God help them to know that you called them to have the the spirits of love, power and the sound mind, God. But one thing that you told us to not do is to fear. So God help us as we walk on this journey, God doing what it is that you called us to do. God help us to go boldly. Help us to walk with courage. God help us to stay focused on the assignment that you've laid and set before us. God, and we just thank you for all that you've done, God. We thank you for all that you're doing. We thank you for all that you're about to do in our lives, God, because we know that you're about to do something big, and God is about to be something big, concerning us. God, when you said in Amos 913, to 15, and it's going to happen so quickly that our heads are going to have to swim, God, we are standing on that, and we trust in you to do what it is that you said you said you was going to do. It's in Jesus name that we pray amen. Imma be real with y'all. Y'all can share this with whoever y'all want to share with. Y'all know, I say share with your baby daddy, share with your homegirl baby daddy and all. The reason why I say that being funny is because I don't want them. I promise you, I don't want them. Let me just, let me just be real with y'all. I don't want him. Okay. The reason why I make jokes like that is because, at the end of the day, when you think about it, that man really love the Lord. The problem is you can't see past the fact that he liked my curls too. You know, I'm saying he like this dark, melanated chocolate sister from the south too. And I get it. I don't know if it's the way I talk. I don't know if it's the curls, bro. I don't know if it's the lips. I don't know if it's because I'm beautiful and genuine. I don't know if it's because these 32 teeth look good in my mouth. I don't know. It could just be because, bro, you really talking that talk. Shalom. You know what I'm saying? That's what I believe it's for. We got to look past all the messy side of it, though, because the messy side is, you know, maybe he just attracted to me. It's okay. I don't want him. He know. I don't want him. I promise you, he do. I don't a lot of people. I don't leave people on. I don't play people feelings. He know I don't want him, but the problem is he can't, he can't get past the fact that it's like Brett, something about you, baby. Let me tell you what it is. I'm spirit led. No, I'm not gonna be like Job wife. You know what I'm saying. I'm there's a time and a place of when to say certain things to your man, baby. And the problem is, you don't know how to bite that tongue, but I gotta go. I love you guys. Share this with somebody and get outside and remember to embrace the life that God has given to you. Take everything that comes with it, bro. Take the good and the bad. Take the happy with the sad. Take the ups with the downs, because I promise you at some point, when it get to the point to where he answered all of your prayers. Bruh, there's beauty in the stroll. Come here. Drake Hall, let's talk. I want to talk to you too. Okay, I do. I want to talk to J Cole, there's beauty in the struggle. Let's talk. Let's talk, baby. No, there's beauty in all of this, bro. You mean to tell me that once God, give you all the finances you could ever think about, you still go grind as hard as you will. I am because I'm crazy, but it's okay. Everybody not built like that. You know what I'm saying? Everybody not built. And I get it. I'm not mad. All I'm saying is, embrace the size, take the good with the bad bread every day, not gonna look like this. So you need to take that as a blessing, not as a curse. Because guess what, when he prepare the table in the presence of the enemies, my table probably gonna have lamb chops on him. I don't know what y'all table gonna have, but gonna have, but my probably gonna have lamb chops, a little lobster, you know, mashed potatoes and loaded mashed potatoes. We might have a little dye Julio after Julio. I don't know what the logo put on there, because really and truly, he did tell us we could drink wine with the one we love. It's like he also told us to not drink strong drink, if you're a princess. So it's like, Hmm, we just got to talk about it. Because really and truly, don't nobody have a manual to this, to this good book. But what I will say is the only manual we need is that this is the reason why you do need to wake up every day. You need to ask the Lord for forgiveness for the stuff that you don't even know that you did. Because I promise you, we sit in and don't even know we sit in with some in some capacity, but it's okay, because he told us that we all said and fall short of His glory. So why are you trying to chase perfection? If he never taught that? That's it. I gotta go click that link. My bio, baby. You.
