Send us a text

This episode is a powerful exploration of faith, healing, and self-empowerment. Diamond Shalom dives deep into the transformative power of conversation, showing how open discussions can heal trauma and unlock personal breakthroughs.

Throughout the episode, she encourages listeners to walk in faith, embrace their God-given identity, and confront life’s challenges with boldness. She draws on biblical references, personal anecdotes, and motivational wisdom from figures like Dr. Eric Thomas to reinforce the importance of thinking like a winner.

Key discussion points include:

  • The story of David and Goliath, emphasizing that God chooses based on heart, not appearance.
  • The importance of journaling and "dumping" thoughts for mental and spiritual clarity.
  • The need to challenge beauty standards and embrace self-love.
  • A desire to connect with influential figures, such as reality TV star Akbar and NAACP Image Award-winning talk show host Jennifer Hudson, to further these deep conversations.

Diamond Shalom reminds us that God’s plan for our lives is greater than we can imagine, and by aligning ourselves with His will, we can experience growth, healing, and transformation.

Listen, this is the thing that I need to talk about with y'all. Sometimes a conversation will heal a lot of hurt and trauma. You don't even know it or even realize it, but in reality, man, the Lord about to do something so big and so great in your life, it's literally like eyes haven't seen bro. Ears haven't heard, neither has it into the heart of man, what it is that he's about to do in your life and in reality, bro, you gotta believe it. You literally have to walk like you believe it, bro. No, you gotta think like a winner. No, I heard somebody say that. Dr, Eric Thomas, no. I need to talk to him on my podcast, but I'm gonna have to be very I want to say demure when I talk to Dr E, because I'm gonna be real with y'all. I really don't have to be very demure. We can be real at the table, because, in reality, that's somebody's baby daddy. And listen, I ain't mad because I don't wanna. Okay, Dr et, tell your wife, bro, I don't wanna. And in reality, bro, I'm studying what it is that you speak about, no her misery. You know what I'm saying, or it's literally her his ministry. I wonder why the Lord said something about making Eve from where? Where did, where was Eve created from what part, what body part of Adam? Put it in the comments. If you know, if you don't know, then listen only. And homegirl got you. She ain't scared today. She got all of her edges, and they laid down. And then let's chill. The cop to Grace a glitter hair, bro. And in reality, bro, bruh, she really feel like she wanted them. P 31 come here. Let's talk about it. You get I'm saying. So listen, she actually gonna help you out today. She gonna put it in the comments. Okay, because she ain't afraid today. She won't try to see them crisp edges. Do you hear me? Because they soft, they not hard, like hairspray. I'm gonna be real with you with hairspray. I'm gonna be real with y'all some of these hair products, taking some of y'all edges out, and y'all don't get it. But in reality, it's okay, girl, the Lord's still gonna love you, with or without them edges, the same way that man literally still gonna love you even though you grow a little more hair than the average person. Can I tell you something men, while you out here judging a woman by the facial hair that she got? In reality, you need to thank the good Lord that she looked fine as wine and she got a high level of testosterone most probably. You know what I'm saying. If you're a woman, grow a lot of hair on a lot of different parts of her body. Quick, bro, the amount of testosterone is there. It's insane. You get I'm saying you have to get over that. And the second that you get over there, bro, parents, this is not the episode for your for the car ride. No, y'all want 15 minutes to Shalom. My homegirl with two kids, bro out here doing her big one shout out to her. Shout out, I'ma call her joy. I'm gonna call her joy for this. I'ma call her joy because I know two joys. You know I actually I don't know what Karen Joy? I know a couple of Keisha joys, but if y'all know a Karen Joy, y'all need to tag it in the comments. And if you don't know what I mean by Karen, then clearly you don't know who we are. Hey, my name is David Shalom. I'm from the south. I don't run the South. I don't even you know what I'm saying. I realize a lot of people don't even run their true lives. Let's talk about it. Because when he said that, he gave you order steps, bro, if you asking every day for His Divine Alignment and his divine order and his promise to literally come to pass in your life, and you literally are doing the right thing. Turn the other cheek to the ones who despitefully using you. Stay focused on what it is that he called you to do. Imma. Be real with you. What did the Lord require of you? What does the Lord require of us in order to see and understand and witness the promised land, the promised land of the promised land, or the floodgates of heaven, because the Lord, literally, you know what, I'm about to put this in my Amazon wishlist, because I know one of y'all baby daddies go buy it. Okay, one of y'all baby daddies is gonna buy it, and you gotta get over there, because I don't want him. And in reality, he don't want me either, but he just know I'm a student, you know what I'm saying, who literally tried to get how I live? You know what I'm saying out here, grounding y'all, a lot of people sit here and say it's a toe fetish thing that some people have, but in reality, bro, I could tell who's literally not following for the right reasons. No, I'm gonna be real with y'all, I literally have moments where I ground. It's just unfortunate that it's on a platform sometimes where, literally people do, you know I'm saying certain, certain things for their livelihood. I'm gonna be real with you. We have grounding sessions because, can I tell you what comes in grounding? There's so much healing that comes in grounding, and in reality, you have to learn from that you get. I'm saying you have to know what it means to ground No. If you're ready to talk to me this morning, then go ahead and share this with your homegirl, because she really got, she really don't have any kids, but she really a go getter. So like in Proverbs, when she like, when that lady rise early. Let's talk about it. Well. In the Bible? Does it tell you to rise early? We're in the Bible. Does it tell you that when you find to say, I got it, you know I'm saying, but if you a little late, come here, yeah, sit in the back of the classroom. If you come into my classroom late, you better not walk your behind to the well, I don't know. I don't know, because I wonder who told the woman with the issues that literally bruh. I wonder who told her not to come out the house. No, I wonder who told her, literally bruh, don't. Don't be bold enough to get that low, to go to go get help. No, don't be bold enough to walk into your blessing and actually be crazy enough to believe that the Lord could heal your issue. No, I wonder how many naysayers and how many doubt? But I don't know who it's for, but I gotta tell you, somewhere in that good book, he says, I'ma prove the doubt is wrong. No, where in the Bible does it say that? Where in the Bible does it say that y'all homework? I give homework. I give homework. Home work. I'm happy a little messy this morning, even if you told me no, it's okay, because, listen, not only do I give y'all a few minutes of shalom, but we got to talk about a little bit of mess. Okay? And I really want to talk to Jess with the mess, because, in reality, bro, I know she not afraid to talk to at home. And another person I want to talk to is Miss Kiki Palmer, No, Miss Kiki Palmer, I gotta talk to you, because I wanna be real. I wanna be in some of these conversations that she had, because I I gotta ask some of these questions. I also want Jennifer at the table. I don't want Jennifer to just hit that one good note, that one good note, but I got a lot of songs I want her to hit that one good note on. Oh, this one good note I got in my head. I gotta ask Jennifer, can she just hit it one good time? Because I love a good sister that can break out in a song in a minute and ain't afraid of it. No, we gonna trust these vocal chords. No. Blood flow is Thank You, Lord. I don't know who it's for, but you gotta tell yourself this morning, thank you, Lord, for giving me a right to a sound mind. Lord, I lay hands on my mind right now, and I ask you to just completely let me keep my mind stayed on the things that are like you, God, I ask that you give me a mind and a spirit of peace. God, you say, As a man thinketh So, is he so? God, right now, I'm healed in the mighty name of Jesus. No, Lord, I'm whole in the mighty name of Jesus. No, I'm healthy. Lord, thank you for allowing me to walk and roam this earth, God and live with a sound mind. No, Lord I, thank You that You give me the spirit of discernment. No, God I, thank you that you allow me to see the warning that comes before destruction. No. Lord I, thank you for connecting me to the right two or three. No. Lord I, thank you for connecting me to the right two or three in this season. Lord God. No, Lord, help me to align? No. Help me to align my steps with you. No, in Jesus name, amen, we going to talk about it. This is my thing. I gotta be a little messy though. Somebody gonna say? Somebody I gotta talk to Akbar. I gotta talk to Akbar. Yes, the Akbar from, from the Akbar from, what's it called the Akbar from, I don't know what show she's from, but she normally has short, blonde hair. But though I want to talk to her when she got that bra when she got that black wig going with the bang in the front, they make her look real classy as the Diddy. Okay, if you know, you know, I'm gonna put a picture of it right here, boo. Okay, I need to get Akbar on my on my podcast. I gotta talk about some stuff with her, and I ain't gonna lie. I want to talk just to Akbar, because I gotta ask her a question on this one. I gotta know what she meant, what she said. They said somebody told her they were an argument. She said, how you just prayed and you cuss it. Oh my god. You guys said, because I'm like David, but more importantly, you like Goliath, that's my part. When she hit me with that, I said, whoo. Because when she said, I'm like David, I'm like, let me go study the character of David. Can we study the character of David for a moment today? Y'all, just for a few moments. I only got y'all for about three more minutes. It's all right, listen, tell your homegirl that's in the back of the classroom that's literally trying to text because she a little hater. You know, I'm saying tell her, just go ahead and pipe down and be quiet, because I'm not even mad at her that she tried to talk because they hated Jesus. So if they hated Jesus, baby, you know, we don't stay at chances, right? Okay, so in reality, bro, we over that. I want her to go ahead and just be quiet, you know what I'm saying, and while she talking about it, share with a homegirl, because a homegirl not afraid to talk that talk, and neither is really her baby daddy, but her baby daddy, he, don't he not. He just too much of a risk. Take the grass like he and risk taker in the wrong way, like baby. He play with them. He play with them tools that they say in the Bible. If you live by you die and diet, okay? If you live by the sword, you die by the sword. Let's talk about it. No, and hope to be daddy. Just take too many risks. So we're just gonna pray for him and touch and agree. You know, virtually, we're gonna let him just we go, we gonna ask that he come to the author at some point. Or, you know what I'm saying, he put it in the comments. Because, in reality, bro, it ain't even all about people emphasize and force. We're gonna talk about David. Because David was a man. You it. David was the youngest son of his father, overlooked by his family, but he was one that was chosen by God. Come here I bought I gotta talk to you, baby. I'm gonna be real with you. You probably double my age, and I just called you a baby. But ain't nobody mad, but the devil, because I told y'all who I was, right? If I didn't tell y'all who I was, my name is Donna Shalom. I'm from the south, but I don't run the South. I got enough people trying to run the South, when, in reality, I don't even know if those very people, or those same people, really know if they run their life or not. Because in reality, do we run our lives? Can we talk about it? And that's a conversation that might be uncomfortable, but in reality, that's what we talk about on my podcast. We talk about uncomfortable things. I normally say the S word. You gotta catch me on the right day when I can say things, you know what I'm saying. We talk about uncomfortable things so that we can actually get to our breakthrough. No, we actually focus on the mess. Sometimes, when we address the mess, all No, we address the mess so that we can focus on the message. You know what I'm saying? No, if you express a thing, you get it out your head. This is why dumping and journaling is so important. No, before you do anything in your day, bro, get you a little it could be $1 pad from the dollar store. Get you $1 pad and just start writing on that thing in the morning, dumping out all your thoughts and your dreams. Lord, it's it's March. Lord, it's March 5. No. Lord, you said the number five means this is the number of grace. No. Lord, give me your grace in this season. Lord, I think about the moments where you've shown me grace and mercy. No, in other seasons of my life, bro, you could just be talking to the Lord, nobody ever got to read that. Nobody ever got to read it, or people can read it, or people can read it. This is the thing. David was the shepherd, and one season of his life, he was the shepherd. In one season of David's life, he was the shepherd. He was the youngest son of Jesse, overlooked by his family, but he was chosen by God. He was anointed by Samuel because of his heart, not his appearance. Huh? Y'all not ready to talk this, this before we even got to the main thing we talk about with David and Goliath, but Akbar, I need to talk to you. I'm gonna be real with you. Let's Talk That Talk, because, in reality, I like my edges. I'm not trying to get my follicles ripped out to where now I gotta go put castor oil and other serums and seed oils and things on my roots, because they done pulled out all of my edges. I'm good on that outfit. But can we talk? We could do a little virtual, little meet and greet. You know, I'm saying because a lot been going on in America, so let's talk about it. But in reality, I need to talk about it with some people that get it. I don't care how old you are, I don't care what side of the track you come from. I'm gonna be real with you. I don't care what you look like. You could be all things, everything opposite to what I am and what I believe. In reality, if the Lord tell me to do something, or he give you a message, and it actually is confirmed, you know, I'm saying the Lord, the Lord will use what the very thing you think the Lord will never use is what he's gonna choose to use in this season. How you reap the benefits is gonna be on you. Because if you sit there and choose to judge it by its cover or by its appearance, and not like how Samuel judged David in the Bible. No, no. But another thing about David as the shepherd, he learned leadership, courage and trust in God while tending to sheep. Sheep were like the lowest, not the lowest of the low, but they were like almost the weakest link. You know what I'm saying, and I don't know, listen, I'm kind of going overboard, but I've borrowed I want to talk to you about the character of David, because for you to say you like David, I gotta ask some questions. How many times were you overlooked by your family? I. It, but I'm gonna be real girl, even though that's the best part of your life. And we can talk about it and address it because it's a little uncomfortable. But in reality, my thing is this. This is my thing. How many times has God chosen you when they ask you questions, like, how can you do such a thing? Nah, I'm like, David, let's talk. Yeah, not ready to talk to me. Y'all are not ready to talk to me. You're not ready to talk to me. You're not ready to talk to me, but I'm be real with you. I'm ready to talk that talk. Shalom said it sounds good.
